Message Series: Christmas Character

. . . so the heart reflects the real person.
Proverbs 27:19

The main characters of the Christmas narrative reveal their true nature as the story unfolds. In the midst of stress and danger, they showed their hearts. Their character will strengthen ours as we celebrate the birth of our Savior.

Join us on Sunday mornings - December 5, 12, and 19 - at 9:00 and 10:45am.

Frequently Asked Questions

What time are Christmas Eve worship services?
Worship services are at 3:00pm and 5:00pm. Both services will last approximately one hour.

Where are your worship services located?
Worship with us in person, or join us for our online watch party right here on our website or on our Facebook page.

Our address is 3800 Old Town Road, Huntingtown, MD 20639.

Can I attend online?
Yes! Join us for our online watch parties here on our website or on our Facebook page at 3:00pm or 5:00pm.

What about my kids?
For kids birth through 5th grade, we will have a Christmas program during both the 3:00 and 5:00 services. The Children’s Ministry Venue is located in the back of the main building. Attendance and security check-in is required at the Envision Kids front desk.

Our greeters are willing to escort you to the children's area so that you feel comfortable about your child’s environment. A check-in team member will safely register your child for the morning activities.

Middle and high school students (6th through 12th grade) are encouraged to worship with their families.

Find out more about our children's ministry here and our student ministry here.

And of course, kids are always welcome in our worship services!

Where do I park?
When you arrive on campus, you will be greeted by our friendly Parking Team volunteers. If you are a first-time guest, a senior, a family with young children, or a family with special needs, you will be encouraged to park on the upper paved lot closes to the building. There is plenty of parking all around the entire building. We encourage our staff, volunteers, members and attenders to park in the gravel lot away from the building to make room for you and your family. Our Parking Team members will direct you.

What are your COVID safety precautions?
Your safety is a priority to us. We follow local and CDC guidelines for COVID safety.
  • Masks are recommended while indoors.
  • The church facility is sanitized before each service.
  • Social distancing is encouraged.
  • Hand sanitizer is available throughout the church facility.
  • If you are not feeling well, please enjoy the online worship option.

Will there be refreshments?
Yes! Stop by our Welcome Center for some Christmas treats.

What do I wear?
Wear whatever you are comfortable with! Most people dress casually at our services.

What will the service be like?
During the worship service, you will hear upbeat music from our praise and worship band. You can sing along with the words provided on the screens if you like, or simply listen to the band.

Pastor Rick will give a message of hope and encouragement for this Christmas season.

Everyone who attends will be asked to complete a Connect Card with your name and contact information. That is the best way we can communicate with you about future Emmanuel opportunities. We do not share this information with other organizations. As you leave the worship center, you will be asked to drop your Connect Card off in a basket.

You will not be expected to give money. That is the responsibility of the church family. We are just glad you came!

Don’t forget that free coffee, cold beverages, and treats will be served in our Welcome Center. The worship service will last about an hour.

One more thing: You are invited to come back again next Sunday. Emmanuel Church would love to be your church family. We look forward to seeing you soon!
