Human trafficking is the business of stealing freedom for profit through the use of fraud, force, or coercion.

We exist to give everyone the best opportunity to become fully developing followers of Jesus Christ through combating the injustice of human trafficking.

How can I get involved?
PRAY
One of the very best things we can do as a child of the Lord is to pray for others.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers and intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people (1 Timothy 2:1).

Pray for:
- Victims of human trafficking: Pray for freedom, healing, and restoration. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, Because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners (Isaiah 61:1).
- Organizations that are serving victims as well as those working in the lives of others to prevent victimization. For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another (Galatians 5:13).
PARTNERSHIP WITH THE WELL
We have partnered with The Well in Curtis Bay, Baltimore, which is a nonprofit organization meeting the specific needs of women in the community who struggle with addiction, abuse, poverty and human trafficking. Through this partnership, Emmanuel Church will have multilevel opportunities to be difference makers for the Kingdom as we Go Be the Church.

Opportunities for everyone:
- Food donations for bag lunches
- Food distribution
- Meals for women in the COR (Community, Opportunity, Responsibility) Life program
- Feet to the Street: Outreach event the last Saturday of each month. This is a prayer walk and blessing bag distribution.
- Hope Chest: Clothes distribution (donations also welcomed based on the season)
- Community clean-up: The last Saturday of each month

Opportunities specific to women:
- Oasis: Shower ministry for women in need
- Hope for Women: Bible Study for women
- Women's mentor opportunities: Be matched with a woman going through the COR Life program
- Hon's Honey market volunteer opportunities
- Childcare needs for women going through the COR Life program and working Hon's Honey. This is being offered at The Well to help ease the burden for moms who are on the road to healing and a hopeful future.
