Rick serves as the lead pastor at Emmanuel Church and has been on staff since 2016. His life mission is to give everyone the best opportunity to become a fully developing follower of Jesus Christ.

Rick and his wife, Lisa, are Maryland natives and have four adult children. Rick is a graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School, Washington Bible College, and Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Master of Divinity in 1993.

“I love how others-focused Emmanuel has become," Rick says. "It’s not about us, but the communities around the corner and around the world. To lead and serve alongside the Emmanuel family is one of my greatest joys. To see God change people’s lives is my greatest passion.”
